The first Foodies & Fellowship event was a success! We took our taste buds to Tupelo Honey Cafe, located in South End and were very excited since they just changed their menu as of January 28th. The table was full of a variety of southern comfort foods, appetizers and drinks. For those that have not been to the restaurant before I would recommend you try it out for brunch or dinner.
Here are some reviews from a few of the attendees:
"Mac and Cheese left plenty to be desired, very bland and I probably wouldn't order it again"
"Beef and bacon meatloaf- absolutely awesome, very well seasoned, the consistency was great for meatloaf and the sauce was perfect definitely liked this dish"
"Herbed lamb meatballs had a great aroma and tastes just as good, I would definitely order again possibly as my entree and add sides."
"Kale and carrot slaw with lime vinaigrette glaze was good , I've never had kale so I don't have anything to compare it to but there could have been more of the glaze I suggest getting a side of the glaze ..because what little I could taste was very good."
"Moonshine lemondrop martini- very moonshiny lol it was strong and I definitely should not have ordered a second drink because that one did the trick!"
"Shaved brussel sprouts salad was delicious!"
"The restaurant was a good feel, down home relaxed environment I'll very likely visit again to try a few more of the dishes I saw on the menu."
"The company was always delightful great positive interesting conversation. Always a blessing to meet new positive people :)"
