Foodies & Fellowship wore green and ate clean last week! We stepped outside of our comfort zone and ate at Fern, a vegetarian restaurant located in Plaza Midwood. The restaurant had unique decor, many shades of green throughout, ferns on the wall and a simple covered patio.
Here are some reviews from a few of the attendees:
"I will definitely be back to try all of the different menus. They change it 4 times a year!"
"The cucumber water is delicious!"
"As a meatatarian aka carnivore, I was a little skeptical about eating dinner at a vegetarian restaurant. But eating here, I didn't miss my meat at all. The BBQ cauliflower was amazing, it would make you think you are eating a BBQ chicken wing. The cucumber water was refreshing and the roasted Brussels were a little spicy for me, but if you like spice/heat then go for it! I must say that if you're a meatatarian like me, you won't be disappointed by giving up your meat and eating here."
"The BBQ cauliflower taste just like chicken wings and I need to look on pinterest for the recipe."
"The OM burger was very tasty and filling. I do not care for kale that much, but the kale chips were decent. If you like kale then you would definitely love it!"
"There is something for everyone and you won't even miss not having meat in your course. The BBQ cauliflower was awesome, it's like an appetizer, but could definitely be an entree. I had the mushroom filet for my main course and it was really good, I enjoyed the sauce on it. The asparagus was cooked perfect and the veg hash was good as well."
